…Ready For it? 5 Quick Tips for Taylor Swift’s UK The Eras Tour in 2024

Last updated on July 23rd, 2023 at 07:03 pm

If you’re a die-hard Swiftie like me, then it’s been a cruel summer watching The Eras Tour break records across the pond, with fans and critics alike raving about the three-hour, 44-song set.

But the countdown officially started this week as pre-sale tickets went live for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in the UK next year. I can’t wait to experience every era from the best artist of my generation. Taylor Swift has announced nine shows in the UK, with concerts in Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff, and London. Fellow Swifties in cities like Birmingham and Manchester look set to miss out as so far all additional tour dates announced due to overwhelming demand are in the same locations.

Getting tickets for the tour hasn’t been easy. To be in with a chance, fans had to show interest on Taylor’s website a few months back, wait for a pre-sale code, and hope that they can beat the thousands of other fans who are trying to get tickets. My experience, which I’ll write about in the future, was surprisingly smooth but others have experienced much frustration.

Managed to get your hands on a ticket? Here are 5 quick tips to get ready for next year’s once-in-a-lifetime experience.

1. Choose your era

Many concerts these days revolve around a certain theme. Not many artists have the talent to be as versatile as Taylor Swift and what makes The Eras Tour so special is that it celebrates every era of her career, from her old school country, to the pop icon that she is now. So sis, you need to start planning that outfit now! Whether you go rogue and rock a cowgirl hat for Fearless, or go bold with a red dress and lipstick for Red, or maybe show some style and flaunt a pair of sunglasses with a t-shirt for 1989. I suggest you pick an era and SLAY! Show your love for Taylor’s music and style. I’ll be documenting my Eras Tour outfit search on this blog!

2. Join the Facebook group

Calling all UK Swfities! You belong with me in the Facebook group.
I set up the group to connect UK fans seeing Taylor Swift live next year. I’ve made many friends over the years from groups like these and I know it helps others too. So share your excitement, plan meet-ups, and help people. Banter is okay, but keep it civil, cute and delicate!

3. Buy some merch

If you want to support Taylor and look fabulous at the same time, get some merch. Now I’m not affiliated in any way with the official store, but have you seen some of her stuff!?!? It’s fire! Get bejeweled with the SPEAK NOW (TAYLOR’S VERSION) CHARM BRACELET or go basic and get the WASHED BLACK DAD HAT like me. There’s loads of items to choose from, keep checking in over the next few months until you see something you like as they are always adding more stuff. Additionally, I’ve also found eBay to be good for merch, just watch out for troublesome sellers.

4. Learn the lyrics

You’ve got less than one year to learn 44 songs off by heart hun, so you better start now. You don’t want to be caught off guard singing a misheard lyric ( Psst, it’s “I met Bobby on the boardwalk” – NOT “I’m a barbie on a boardwalk”) So make sure you brush up on your Taylor Swift knowledge and practice your vocal skills before the show.

5. Have fun!

Seeing Taylor Swift in the UK isn’t something you get to do often, so enjoy it, shake it off and have fun! It’s a chance to see your idol perform live, connect with other fans who share your passion, and create memories that will last forever. So don’t stress too much about the details or the logistics. Just enjoy the moment and let yourself be enchanted by Taylor Swift’s magic.

I hope these tips will help you get ready for Taylor Swift’s UK The Eras Tour in 2024. If you’re lucky enough to get tickets, we’re sure you’ll have an amazing time. And if not, don’t worry. You can always catch up on the highlights online. Either way, you’ll always be part of the Swiftie family.
